Ordered it because the manufacturer of the Dolos quick attach barrel assembly recommended it for their product. It worked perfect. Well made product.
I've been useing Yankee Hill Machine Co parts on all my builds for several years. These KR7 rails are the best. Installation is easy and painless if you use a gas tube guide tool with a good upper receiver vice clamp. Installation is pretty straight forward...READ THE DIRECTIONS!!!... Then read the directions again Yankee Hill makes a tool to tighten the locking ring. I made a tool out of brass that I've been using for years without damage...but I highly recommend the purchase of the tool. I use anti-seize on the receiver threads.. Just a few small drop or so. I also use blue loc-tite on the side screws. I have never had a problem with these techniques...and if the hand guard needs to come off of the receiver...there is no problem...same with the nut. This hand guard is also comfortable in hand...sharp/hard edges and surfaces are kept to a minimum...very comfortable in hand. I'm looking forward to my next project....I know exactly where I'm getting my parts.
I replaced my old barrel and plastic handguard. this turned my old carbine into a real shooter. Free floating my barrel made a big difference. This handguard is the ticket and not much more weight.
