Rifle suppressors have gained popularity over the years for hunters, law enforcement, shooting ranges, and recreational shooters. With the advancements over the years in material, design, and manufacturing processes silencers are more accessible and affordable than ever.
There are many benefits to utilizing a suppressor for your rifle including:
The Fat Cat® was created to provide a compact, full-auto-rated suppressor with great sound. Made from durable 17-4 stainless steel along with a heat-treated 718 Inconel blast baffle.
The Fat Cat is full-auto rated and designed for rigorous use with an overall length that measures just 4.5" with the sRx adapter installed. That's a full inch shorter than our Turbo K model with its included adapter. The Fat Cat's larger 1.94” diameter creates more internal volume resulting in a lower, more pleasant tone. Includes an sRx muzzle device, an sRx adapter, and two wrenches.
Built of 17-4 stainless with an Inconel 718 blast baffle, the full-auto-rated Turbo T3 sports a design improvement to the internal geometry of the baffles, resulting in reduced blowback compared to the previous model.
Includes a Q.D. Muzzle Brake -or- Q.D. Flash Hider, a Phantom® Q.D. Adapter, and 2 suppressor wrenches.
The full-auto-rated Turbo® K-RB utilizes a tubeless design made from heat treated 17-4 stainless steel along with a heat treated 718 Inconel® blast baffle. The blast chamber of the Turbo® K-RB is threaded to the popular 1.375”-24 HUB thread which allows it to utilize many available mounting options currently on the market.
Having an average sound pressure level of 138dB on a 16” AR shooting 55-grain ammo, the Turbo® K-RB is within the hearing safe threshold of 140 dB. The Turbo® K-RB ships with the Q.D. Phantom flash hider or muzzle brake, Phantom® Q.D. adapter, and 2 suppressor wrenches.
A quiet, lightweight, and cost-effective suppressor for the high caliber shooter looking to shed some weight and reduce their audio footprint. The blast chamber is threaded to the popular 1-3/8”-24 HUB thread, allowing it to utilize many available mounting options currently on the market. The end cap design helps greatly reduce flash signature.
The full-auto-rated Resonator® K can be used on rifle calibers ranging from .17 HMR through 300 RUM. The Resonator® K uses a tubeless design that consists of heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel and a heat-treated 718 Inconel blast baffle. Includes a Phantom Q.D. Muzzle Brake, Phantom Q.D. Adapter, and 2 suppressor wrenches.
The Resonator® R2 was created to provide the shooting enthusiast with a quiet, lightweight, and cost-effective .30 caliber suppressor. The Resonator® R2 can be used on rifle calibers ranging from .17 HMR through 300 RUM making it a versatile choice for all shooters. Like the Turbo®, the full-auto rated Resonator® R2 uses a tubeless design that consists of heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel and a heat-treated 718 Inconel blast baffle. Includes a Phantom Q.D. muzzle brake, Phantom Q.D. Adapter, and 2 suppressor wrenches.
The R9® is a 9mm suppressor capable of handling high volumes of fire and the ability to run other calibers such as .300 BLK and .308 Winchester at a budget-friendly price. It was primarily designed for suppressing 9mm (specifically sub-machine guns and SBRs) but works well across a spectrum of calibers. The R9® is capable of being used on a handgun in conjunction with our Nielsen Booster Assembly.
The R9 is made with 17-4 PH stainless steel and has a fully-welded tubeless body. Its dimensions are 5.2” x 1.562”, and weighs a modest 10.7 oz. The rear mounting threads are 1-3/8”-24, HUB, and with a 1/2”-28 direct thread adapter.
It is important to select a suppressor rated for your rifle caliber and your intended use. Are you trying to suppress a small lightweight rifle or a heavy precision rifle with a larger caliber? Picking a suppressor has many factors and we have designed suppressors ideal for specific uses. If you have questions, please contact our sales staff.
Suppressors are legal in many states but are regulated by Federal and State law. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) has rules and regulations for legal ownership.
Depending on the laws of your state, you can use a suppressor while hunting. The blast from a rifle in a blind or tree stand is not only loud to you but the surrounding wildlife. Using a silencer will make shooting more enjoyable for you and create less of a disruption to wildlife around you.
Yes, as long as the suppressor is capable of handling the cartridge that the firearm is chambered for, it can be used on different rifles. YHM offers a variety of mounts and adapters to accommodate different calibers and thread sizes.
Most suppressors can accommodate smaller rounds than their caliber designation. For example, .22 caliber ammunition is safe to shoot through a .30 caliber suppressor. There are exceptions to this rule. For example, it is NOT safe to shoot .22 caliber centerfire rifle rounds through suppressors rated for 9mm Parabellum. If you have questions or doubts, please call our sales staff.
YHM manufactures a variety of Q.D. (quick disconnect) muzzle brakes including our sRx™ models and Phantom models.
These brakes can be used with a suppressor as the mounting platform or as a standalone muzzle brake for excellent recoil control. All brakes are matched to the caliber and precisely manufactured for a simple installation every time.
We also manufacture Q.D. flash hiders including our sRx™ models and Phantom models. Yankee Hill Machine flash hiders are highly effective and often reduce muzzle flash by 99%. They are available in various bore diameters and thread sizes to fit almost any application.
