This YHM 16″ M4 5.56 NATO Mid-Length barrel was designed around the USASOC specs for an Improved Upper Receiver Group. The longer, mid-length gas system allows for a smoother gas curve which leads to managed dwell times. This combo creates a great balance of speed and performance.

    Superb Customer Service

    I purchased a fluted 5.56 barrel 4 years ago (loved the barrel) and recently noticed a very small crack in the barrel extension feed ramp. I sent it back and within a day customer service contacted me and offered to replace the barrel with a more expensive barrel with a welded muzzle brake. The original barrel was no longer manufactured. Since I'm from NJ, Kevin, at YHM , offered this as it would comply. Very nice offer, however, I also shoot a lot in NY and to comply with their laws, I could not have a muzzle brake. I requested a standard .5.56 barrel with a pinned thread connector and he immediately responded that he could have it done quickly. A week later, I had the barrel. He threw in an extra thread connector. YHM blew me away with their quick and understanding response.
