This series of handguards are successors of YHMs popular S.L.K.® and KR7® KeyMod® handguards with the same benefits for the M-LOK platform. MR7 handguards have a free-floating design, are very lightweight, can accommodate accessories along their entire length and at all 45-degree angles, and feature a “T” marked extended top rail. Made of 6061-T6 aluminum with a mil-spec (or better) hard coat anodized matte black finish.

The SLR and S.L.K. handguards were designed to be thinner than traditional handguards and have a continuous top rail between the upper and handguards.

YHM handguards can be installed with common armorer’s tools, but we also offer a few specialty tools to aid in installation including our Dovetail Vise Jaws and Handguard Wrench.
No, all YHM AR-15 handguards come with the parts necessary for installation. If needed, we carry a handguard wrench and SLR handguards include the SLR wrench.
We also carry dovetail jaws to mount your handguard rail to a vise to assist with installation.
