About the YHM Q.D. 5.56 muzzle brake for suppressors

For users who desire a muzzle brake instead of a flash hider, YHM now offers this Q.D. Mount muzzle brake. Sound suppressors naturally work as a muzzle brake, this Q.D. mount will decrease the recoil of your host firearm even more.

Shim Kit is included in the price (SHIM-3102-SET)

Factory Installation Available: FREE installation is available for all YHM products onto your rifle. Some restrictions apply, call for details.

The muzzle device length is 2.418". Length added to the barrel is 1.793" (on barrels with 0.6" threads).

Our 3 Chamber design has no downward facing ports which helps eliminate dust signature when shooting in the prone position as well as acting as a compensator. Our Redesign of the YHM-5M2-QD has a smooth sleek look which eases cleaning.  The redesign also features an improved mounting service which makes attachment quicker, and easier.

The YHM-5M2-Q.D. is threaded 1/2"-28

SHIM-3102-SET contains the following shims:

  • 2x 0.002"
  • 3x 0.005"
  • 1x 0.020"

    The devices should be torqued to between 20 and 30 Ft-lbs.

    .223/5.56 QD Muzzle Brake

    Laser chamber bore-sighted to re-zero my Springfield ATC Elite .223 Wylde 18 inch barrel setup and rifle still maintained the .04-.06 3 rds MOA zero from before at 25 meters. The actual YHM suppressor is still pulling time in ATF lockdown. With that NFA item I have another 5.56 flash hider that I will be installing on my Springfield Helion hopefully one day.

    I have 2 of these, 1 that came with the can and bought an extra one for another rifle and these are sweet. No issues installing and perfect alignment
