This YHM barrel features a 9x19mm chamber. Constructed of 4140 chrome moly steel with a threaded muzzle, the barrel is Melonited for ultimate surface protection. The melonite coating provides a thinner surface than chrome-lining, so bore friction is reduced for better accuracy. In addition, melonite is harder than chrome-lining providing a longer wear life.

    I bought this barrel for another PCC build and it exceeded my expectations. It installed easily and is very accurate.

    This product is well made. The finish and fluting on the barrel is amazing quality. I would recommend only changing the barrel material from 4140 to 4150 steel. I almost did not order from YHM due to the cheaper steel. I would also have liked to have seen the brand new barrel include an installed thread protector. I was surprised to find a piece of rubber protecting the threads. A personal preference for me is 1/2 x 28 threads because it is easier to find flash cans in regular threads instead of 1/2 x 36 Regardless of the 4140 steel, YHM manufactures quality products. I have also ordered the Glock dedicated 9mm bolt carrier group from YHM and it was the same quality as the barrel. If you are trying to decide on this barrel, it is a good decision if you are okay with 4140 steel. If you are looking for a barrel for a nice hobby gun for plinking at the range, this one is for you. Good luck in finding the perfect barrel for your build. If you can not make your mind up on quality or brand name…. Buy this barrel and you will be pleased with both.
